This is a drawing of the famous rapper Jahsen Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy aka XXXTentacion. XXXTentacion passed away at an early age of 20 years old due to being murdered. I drew this image to represent the stages of his life both mentally and physically. The rapper was young, rich, and very unique so he had a lot of adjusting to do. At first he was trying to be something that he was not, the second stage shows him trying to adjust and find himself in this world, and the last stage shows whenever he passed away. I was always a big fan of Jahsen and believed that he was a very impactful and powerful young man. RIP Jahsen Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy.

Cartoon Imagination

This is a piece that I did on a dry erase board with expo marker in my teacher’s classroom. I often draw on her board and do different themes according to the time period. For example some of the other themes that I have done so far were Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, and the current one “Cartoons.” The reason I continue to do these drawings is because it relaxes me and keeps me calm throughout the day. I also like to hear the feedback from the kids and teachers who take a chance to view it. I also enjoy the challenge of using expo marker on that big of a dry erase board and trying to master different drawings on it.

This is an image of one of my favorite young basketball players, Dennis Smith Jr. He is a two year rookie who was drafted first round in 2018. Dennis Smith Jr. came from NC State and went straight to the NBA after his first year. I have been following Dennis Smith Jr. since he was in high school and have been a fan ever since. This drawing was done completely with pencil, and I focused on shading techniques.

This is a piece of two of my favorite superheroes fighting in an uncommon battle. The superhero in the red suit is known as Iron Man and the superhero in the blue with the shield is known as Captain America. This is a scene of them battling in the movie Avengers. This piece was done in pencil and later colored in with color pencil to give it more of a realistic effect.

This is an image of a drawing of Montana of 300 that I did. Montana of 300 is not one of the most famous rappers, but he is very well known. Montana of 300 started out by dropping music videos and song audios on Youtube. Once his music started to go viral on Youtube and his views continued to increase  his music soon transferred to apple music and ITunes where his exposure would increase much more. This drawing was done completely with #2 pencil and hand used shading. The main elements that I focused on were lining and shading in this piece.

Warrior

This is a drawing that I did 2 days ago of a warrior with one of my favorite bible verses. I used strictly number 2 pencil and used techniques such as lining and shading. Lining to bring out the values of certain objects on the warrior and shading to blend the pencil colors to get a different shade. The verse on the warriors shoulder is my favorite part of this drawing. The tattoo on the warrior is actually the same exact one that I have on my right shoulder. The verse is Isaiah 40:31, which means “But those who hope in the lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. Run and not grow weary and walk and not be faint.“

This is a drawing of J Cole that I did a few months ago. J Cole is one of the most famous rappers in today's world and also one of the most inspirational rappers. I personally look up to him and take a lot out of his songs. Surrounding this drawing in blue are some of his most famous verses and some of his most inspirational verses to me. I take something out of everyone of these quotes and each one has a different meaning to me. In the big text “Love Yourz” is one of my favorite songs telling us to love and appreciate everything we have individually and not to worry about what anyone else has or how they are living.

Thanksgiving

This is a picture of Expo marker drawings that I did on my english teacher’s whiteboard. This was a very random act that I started early in the school year and now I continue this tradition monthly. For each holiday I draw pictures and themes that relate to that specific holiday. These specific drawings are clearly Thanksgiving based including typical Thanksgiving images. Drawing on a white board and using expo markers is more difficult than it may seem considering you can not rub your hand on the board and the marker color smares very easily. This Thanksgiving drawing was last months addition and this month I am currently working on my Christmas theme board in Mrs. Krall's room.

The Eye

This is a piece that I did at Montour High School in my Drawing and Painting 2 class. The style of this project was any color painting of your choice. The techniques that I focused on throughout this painting were balance and lining. I had to focus on lining because with color paint the use of too much water usually causes paint to run a lot. I used balance as a technique because I wanted to make sure the amount of paint that I was using was distributed evenly amongst the whole project. The reason I chose this painting was to recognize how different people are and how different they view things. I chose the eye with colors running from it to show that no one is limited to the same views on different aspects of life and that each and every person is a different color and has a different mind. The inside of the eye is designed as the earth to correspond to every person on earth and to show that not one person out of the 7 billion people on this plant are the same.

J Cole Pen and ink

This is a piece I did for my pen and ink project. I did this piece in my Drawing and Painting 2 class at Montour High School. The pen and ink technique can be very difficult at times do to the smearing of the ink. The ink also tends to drip from the pen at a rapid pace depending on how you use it. If you become aware and learn the proper techniques the final piece can look very good. I chose to do J Coles KOD album cover because he is one of my favorite artists, and the album was very powerful and informative to the youth. J Cole gave a very powerful message saying that drugs and bad influences are taking over kids in today's world and the outcome can be lethal. So as a leader and influence to many, J Cole preaches about the dangers that come from drugs throughout his album.

Owl

This is a project of an owl that I have been working on in drawing and painting II. I have been working on this piece for about 3 weeks now. This project was done in oil pastel. Oil pastels are very difficult to work with and there are a lot of techniques that you need to focus on in order to make sure that your piece doesn't smear together. Some of the techniques or basic methods used with oil pastels are focusing on the amount of pastel you use and how hard you press which is called pressure. Other techniques focused on when creating this work are balance and the lining of the object. I have also been very intrigued with owls and the uniqueness of them so I decided to create this project based off of a picture that I took of an owl.

These are two drawings that I did when I was nine years old. This was the year when I really fell in love with drawing and art. I've continued working and drawing for years to get to where I am now. These are just two basic drawings of a dragon and an alligator that I drew with pencil. I will continue to take advantage of the new techniques and abilities that I learn in my current art classes. I am currently taking drawing and painting two at Montour High School to increase my abilities.
